Overview

Cyberspace Solutions is seeking a highly-qualified candidate to join our engineering team in support of a DIA program providing the full range of international systems IT support enabling information sharing for the Intelligence Community (IC).

 

Job Description / Responsibilities:

The Stone Ghost and International Systems Project Manager plans, organizes, communicates, integrates, manages and monitors workflows and schedules to achieve delivery of low, medium, and highly complex projects as directed by a government customer. This position requires experience with automated tracking concurrent projects from initial planning through execution and closure using industry standard project management processes, procedures, and tools to efficiently and effectively meet defined project goals and objectives. The Project Manager identifies risks, develops and proposes mitigation strategies, and implements mitigation strategies in accordance with government customer direction. The Project Manager ensures compliance with QA standards, and that service performance indicators are met or exceeded.

Responsibilities

The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills and is:

  • Responsible for managing complex projects from requirements analysis through the full lifecycle of project execution.
  • Responsible for performance, scope, schedule, and quality of projects.
  • Builds project plans and other relevant documentation, plan and schedule project deliverables, build project teams, and create strategies for risk management.
  • Provides direction to other resources, estimating work effort accurately and assessing impact of issues on cost and schedule performance.
  • Develops and maintains detailed resource-loaded project schedules as part of Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in customer-designated Project Management Information System (PMIS), and in paper form, ensuring schedules reflect the most current information.
  • Facilitates technical exchange and other required meetings to develop scope and meet project success criteria, and to develop detailed schedules and assist win keeping schedules current.
  • Assists with the development of Project Management methodology and supporting process documents for the customer organization, to include writing and maintaining SOPs.
  • Confers with program staff and customer representatives to identify schedule and enterprise change request requirements and establish processes and schedules.
  • Implements and maintains schedule and change request management processes, activities, artifacts, records to ensure that schedule and change request data is complete and correct; develop written plans, policies and procedures, and document processes to support implementation of schedule and change request management.
  • Confers with functional leads to obtain schedule information or to interpret policies and procedures for reporting changes in schedules.
  • Validates release schedules, verifies all information is present (e.g. necessary resources and dates)
  • Facilitates resolution of scheduling conflicts.
  • Notifies appropriate customer and staff personnel of any new or updated data and distribute copies of schedules and change requests as required.
  • Audits schedules to verify compliance with contract requirements.
  • Assists in generating weekly, monthly, quarterly projects status briefs as required that include an updated MS Project schedule or change request status.
  • Participates in special projects as required.

Qualifications

 

Required Qualifications, Certifications, and Skills
Clearance: Top Secret//SCI

Polygraph: current Counterintelligence (CI) polygraph

Education/Experience: The successful candidate must possess one of the following combinations of education and relevant experience:

  • HS/GED and 10 years’ experience;
  • AA/AS and 8 years’ experience;
  • BA/BS and 6 years’ experience;
  • MA/MS and 4 years’ experience;
  • PhD and 2 years’ experience

 

Certification: Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM)

 

Skills:  

  • Strong organization skills to prioritize and balance complex work
  • Strong proficiency in MS Office, including Word and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

 

Highly Desired Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience

  • DIA/Intelligence Community or DoD experience
  • Degree in Management, IT, or related field
  • Experience preparing government and/or executive briefings and reports, project documents
  • Attention to detail and ability to read and understand technical data

 

Desired Qualifications, Certifications, and Experience

  • Experience using a project management information system (PMIS) to schedule and control project execution
  • IT Certifications such as A+, Network+ or related
